Aloe (Aloe barbadensis, Aloe Indica, Aloe Vera

Aloe has been used for a multitude of ailments both internally and externally.  
Aloe is native to South and East Africa and is cultivated in tropical countries
around the globe.  The active component is aloin, which is retrieved from the
leaf.
